Hermes Google broker
Hermes Google broker is a small personal tool. It lets its owner's own assistant software read and manage one personal Google account (Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive) on the owner's own server.
Who uses it
Only its owner. The app is not offered to the public, it has no other users, and it is not a product or a service. The Google account that it connects to belongs to the owner.
What it does
- Searches and reads mail, calendar events and Drive files of that one account, so that the assistant can answer the owner's questions and write summaries.
- Makes changes that the owner asks for: Gmail labels and drafts, sending a message, calendar events, and changes to Drive files.
- Changes that cannot be undone or that leave the account, such as sending a message, deleting an item or sharing a file, need the owner's approval on a separate approval page. The assistant cannot approve them itself.
How the data is handled
The privacy policy explains which data the app can reach, how it is used, where it is kept, who it is shared with, and how access is removed.
